Position Summary

Oversee the Senior Class Gift campaign under the direct supervision of the Annual Giving Specialist. The Senior Class Gift campaign seeks to raise money from students in the senior class (Class of 2018) and to educate them on the importance of giving to Guilford as alumni.

Specific responsibilities include:
Recruit a committee of 3-4 seniors who are active on campus to become year-long members of the Senior Class Gift Committee.
Develop a year-long gift-campaign, including a schedule of events and publications.
Run monthly committee meetings.
Set personal solicitation goals for committee members.
Create a website or blog for the senior class gift and utilize social media to educate and engage seniors.
Educate seniors to prepare them for solicitation as alumni.
Guide committee to achieving a 25% participation rate among seniors.
Summarize program results and provide recommendations for the future, upon completion of the internship.
Perform any other related duties as may be required.

Qualifications/Special Skills Required

Minimum qualifications:
Ability to work an average of six hours a week
Independent, creative self-starter who is able to multitask and think of new ways to increase education and giving.
Organized, detail-oriented, good communication skills.
Trustworthy with confidential and sensitive information.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, blogs/websites and social media.
Senior (class of 2018) preferred; juniors considered.
